Shining dodecahedrons are specially-crafted objects, usually carved out of rock. They allow a cultist to hold and capture thulhu, and are very useful storage devices. While stored in a dodecahedron, thulhu's bodies are suspended outside of normal spacetime, while their spirits may linger and maintain some sense of their environment.

Specialty dodecahedrons[]
There are some specialty dodecahedrons which are made out of materials that make them good at catching thulhu with specific aspects, but no others.

- Skeletal dodecahedron (decomposing)
- Kleine dodecahedron (non-euclidean)
- Squidgy dodecahedron (fungous)
